Shop Bookshop for your books

In researching my book, I read about 75 books. They’re listed in the bibliography in the back of the book. Now, I’ve curated a selection of them for you in my “storefront” on Bookshop.org.

Bookshop is filling a gap created by the coronavirus crisis. Buying books online through sellers like Amazon and Barnes & Noble has become frustrating, as delivery times stretch out to weeks or even months.

You can buy your books through Bookshop, and delivery is fast. Not only that, but Bookshop partners with independent bookstores. A portion of the profits from sales is divided among participating bookstores. To date, they’ve distributed more than $1.3 million to independent bookstores. It’s a boon for these mom-and-pop shops that are struggling now that their doors are closed.

By curating a selection of books on suffrage, I’ve made it easy for you to browse books that address the topic. I’ve included ones that I found helpful and interesting. As a Bookshop affiliate, I receive 10 percent of any sales made through my storefront in exchange for maintaining it.

My intention is not to get rich through a storefront! But, as with everyone else, authors are looking for ways to promote our books online. I thought I could add value by suggesting books you might like to read. When reading my book, if you come across a person or event you’d like to know more about, take a look at my storefront to see if you can take a deeper dive!
