Choosing to Conquer: The Women Who Won the Vote
The fight for the woman’s vote was an epic civil rights battle, a 72-year struggle that ended in victory in 1920. In an illustrated talk using historic and current-day photos, Nancy B. Kennedy, author of “Women Win the Vote! 19 for the 19th Amendment,” will transport you to this thrilling time in American history. You’ll meet suffragists at the national, state and local level. Princeton women were eager to vote! Join us at 6:30 p.m., Monday, October 7, at Stone Hill Church, 1025 Bunn Drive, Princeton, NJ 08540. The event is free and open to the public.
